Terry Elaine Estep, 63, passed away unexpectedly on October 13th, 2022. Terry is survived by her three children, Christopher, Lindsay and Mariah, and her grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters: Kelly, Gwen, and Janet, and her “big little brother” Grady.
Terry was born on an army base in Germany, before moving to Olympia, Washington as a young girl. She spent her life in Western Washington until she settled in Idaho, where she lived for over 10 years.
Terry was a free spirited student of life, always seeking out new experiences and joy. Her most profound moments of peace were found in nature, surrounded by trees and wildlife. Spirituality was a central thread in Terry’s life and shaped the way she lived and related to others. An old friend captured these elements of her personality in a nickname: “Moonbeam”.
Traveling to Ireland was one of Terry’s aspirations. There’s an Irish prayer: Ar scáth a chéile a mhaireann na daoine, which describes how we are shielded from the sun, how we need and rely on each other every day. For Terry, her community of friends and loved ones was this shield. She will be dearly missed.
