Our brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, Roger Lewis Jackson Sr. made his journey into the spirit world to be reunited with his beloved wife Barbara Ann Peters Jackson and his daughter Jamie Lynn Jackson. Roger was born to Charles Harry Jackson Sr. and Geraldine Hayes Jackson on January 23, 1951 in Lewiston, Idaho.

Roger started his high school years at Riverside Indian School in Anadarko, Oklahoma. He graduated in 1971 from Riverside, high school motto, "Once a brave, always a brave."

Roger went to a native owned heavy equipment school in Portland, Oregon. He met his sister Verla's brother-in-law, Alex Wright, at the same school. Alex was from Juneau, Arkansas.

Roger was a member of the Nez Perce Tribe. He worked in many capacities for the tribe, carpentry, housing, maintenance, fire fighting, and a road flagger.

After graduating he met and married Barbara Ann Peters in Kooskia, Idaho. Soon followed their children, Erica Rochelle Jackson, Roger Lewis Jackson Jr., and Jaime Lynn Jackson rounded out the original "Jackson 5".

After his daughter Jaime passed away, he took in his grandchildren to raise, Tiara Jackson and Talon Jackson. He loves having them with him and they were his helping hands.
