Rodney Edward Perry
Rod died on February 24,2017. Rod was born in Polson, Montana July 9,1956 to Monte and Joyce(Carlson)Perry. He spent his early years in Elk River, Boise, and Kamiah, Idaho. He attended Kamiah High School and later North Idaho College at Couer 0' Alene, Id.
In 1973 he joined the u.S. Airforce working as an aircraft crew chief. After his discharge he returned to Idaho where he worked various jobs as a Diesel Mechanic and truck driver. He worked for Veco Cyprus LTD, working in Prudoe Bay as an off road heavy haul truck driver, transferring to heavy equipment mechanic. In 2004 he transferred to Veco International, Inc. and worked in Sakhalin Island, Russia as a heavy equipment mechanic, welder and fabricator. He returned to the u.S. in 2007, and started working in the oil fields of North Dakota in 2009 as a heavy haul truck driver and later equipment and truck mechanic. While in North Dakota, Rod married the love of his life, Shannon (Dolph) Perry. They returned to Kamiah Idaho where Rod has been employed as a truck driver.
Rod lived and loved to ride his Harly. He had planned to start building motorcycles.
Rod is survived by his wife Shannon, daughter Alicia Bolling (OJ) and granddaughter Keely of Spokane, WA. A stepdaughter, Denise (Jon) Schuh, grandson Andy and granddaughter Charlotte of Connell, Wa. Brother Calvin (Terese) Perry of Seward, Alaska. Sister Del Rae(Bill) Hendren of Mead, WA. Sister Donna Woods of Buhl, 10. And last but not least his cat, Boner of Kamiah, Id.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Monte and Joyce Perry, of Kamiah, Id.
At his request, there will be no service. He would like family and friends to raise a glass in his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory to ambulance or quick response unit of your choice. Trenary Funeral Home in Kooskia is in charge of arrangements.
