Rita "Jeanie" Petrick wen to join her heavenly family on October 21, 2024, with her family at her side. She was born on September 2, 1955, in Yuba City, California. She moved to Washington after her father and mother divorced. She spent much of her early years taking care of her siblings and picking fruit. Her closest relationships were with her Brothers Ron Stout and Randy Stout. She married H. Wayne Smart and raised her two boys in Goldendale, Washington until they divorced. She earned her CNA and CDL licenses. But she spent most of her life working as a CNA in hospitals and long tern care facilities. She met Pau Petrick in 1987 while at work. They married on January 23, 1988. Paul remained by her side until her passing. She enjoyed cooking, and had frequent requests from her family for enchiladas, deserts, and jams and jellies. She also enjoyed the outdoors. She loved to go camping, riding horses and 4 wheelers and fishing until her health limited her participation. She also loved visiting with family and friends and taking trips to the ocean.

She is preceded in death by her mother Lavada; father Ralph stout; son Allen and daughter in law Lorna.

She is survived by her loving husband Paul; sons Tony Smart, Shawn (Nicky); daughter Patty; grandchildren Alexis (Logan), Chad, Wyatt, and Natalie; siblings Ron, Randy, Carlene, Donnie, Dale, and Gail. She is also survived by numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and other close friends and family members.

The family will receive friends for a potluck lunch to celebrate Jeanie's life November 16, 2024 from 12:00pm-4:00pm at the Kooskia Community Center.
