Richard Lawson

June 13, 1942 — August 16, 2021

Richard Sylvester Lawson: 6/3/42 - 8/16/21

Tallest Yosemite Sam Swede you'd ever wanna meet.

He could MacGyver anything together to FAA standards with a pocket knife, some lock tite, a bolt, and a tack weld.

He stood for something and fell for very little....

except for a good looking mule, a derpy giant dog, or a glorious fishing hole.

He trekked the backcountry of the Pacific Northwest from Montana to California to British Columbia and could tell you every good trail, river, lake and huckleberry bush.

He gave driving directions by referring to "crooks in the road", "forked trees" and "old red barns" but could navigate every highway and biway without google.

He taught my sister and I we could do everything any boy could do...and then some.

He believed in good people and that their rights were important.

He believed in helping neighbors and sharing a meal sprinkled with a heavy dash of black pepper, hot sauce, and adventure stories.

He was a good man and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Muley is survived by two daughters: Syni & Treana, 3 grandchildren: Ethan, Taylor & Tori and one great grandchild, Ripley. He was blessed to amass a large group of loyal friends of the highest integrity, faith, and devotion to doing good in this world. He lived a blessed life of purpose.

Love you, Dad.

On to your great reward...

"Be without fear in the face of your enemies.

Stand brave and upright, that the Lord may love thee.

Speak the truth always, even if it means your death.

Protect the helpless and do no wrong."
