Nina Mae Roberts, 95, of Lewiston, died on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Lewiston Transitional Care of Cascadia.
Nina was born May 14, 1922, in Cameron, to Dave and Myrtle Schoeffler. She graduated from Kamiah High School in 1939 and later that year married Jim Roberts. Nina and Jim had four children, Darlene, Diane, David and R.J. Later in life, Nina pursued a banking career with Wells Fargo, where she completed 25 years of service, retiring in 1987.
Nina enjoyed playing cards, particularly bridge and pinochle. She was an active and dedicated member of The Order of the Eastern Star and a past worthy matron.
Nina is survived by her son, R.J. Roberts, of Kamiah; and four grandchildren, Jill (Kacey) McNulty of Eagle Point, Ore., Tia (Bert) Hartsock of Wa'imanalo, Hawaii, Rhett (Kendra) Roberts of Clarkston and Amanda (Mike) Benke of Lewiston. Nina was further blessed with nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Roberts; parents Dave Schoeffler and Myrtle Helt; daughters Diane and Darlene Roberts; son Dave Roberts; and grandson Reggie Roberts.
A celebration of life in Nina's honor was held from 1 to 4 p.m. May 20, 2018 at the Kamiah Chamber of Commerce. Trenary Funeral Home of Kooskia is assisting the family with arrangements.
