Michael Mason

d. November 23, 2021

The first thought that comes to mind when thinking of "Raven" is his love for dogs. He was known about Kamiah and Kooskia for his three big, beautiful pit-bull mixes: Celeste, But'er'head and Wednesday Addams. They would all sit outside the stores, waiting patiently for him. He loved all critters, especially dogs. The last couple of years, he had been living, thriving and working on a local rabbit farm.

A nomad at heart, Raven started his life journey in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on September 15th,1983. We know that, he travelled New Mexico, Arizona, California (he especially loved Death Valley), Vermont, Washington, Oregon and finally Idaho.

Raven was constantly reading, having wished to be a psychologist to help others; he, too, struggled with mental health. A scholarship will be started in his honor, to provide some help to a Kamiah or Kooskia student wishing to study Psychology or Psychiatry.

Heavy metal was his favorite, but Raven loved music. He wrote and told wild stories, some of them sounding almost like heavy metal lyrics.

To the best of our knowledge, he is survived by a brother, many friends; also 4 loving dogs.

If you are Michael "Raven" Mason's family, please reach out to us.

He is preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, and many others.

All of his friend-family will miss him dearly; especially his dogs Celeste, Wednesday Addams, But'er'head, and Ozzy.

A graveside service is pending.

Raven, we wish we could have known you more, and for longer. You are flying free, now, friend, and we hope that you're at peace. Rest in Power, Raven.
