Born on August 19, 1961, in Porterville, California, he was the beloved husband of Vickie Luce and a loving father to his sons George and Travis Luce. Marty was a dedicated family man who cherished his time spent with loved ones.

Marty had a joy for life that was contagious. He had a passion for hunting and fishing, often heading out with friends and his loyal hunting dog, Rowdy. He loved coaching his sons in baseball and could often be found on the sidelines, cheering them on with pride. Marty's sense of humor was one of a kind, and his quick wit always brought laughter to those around him.

Born and raised in Porterville, Marty graduated from Porterville High School in 1979. Following this was his marriage to Vickie Burgess on September 21, 1985, Marty pursued a successful career as a house painter, after retiring from his time served with the Department of Corrections. He was known for his strong work ethic, honesty, and loyalty to both his family and friends.

In his spare time, Marty enjoyed various outdoor activities. He excelled in archery and shooting, boasting impressive skills that earned admiration from others. He had a passion for the great outdoors, often engaging in softball games, watching NASCAR races, and hitting the golf course whenever he had the chance.

Marty will always be remembered as a loving father and loyal friend. He had a knack for teaching his children important life lessons and was a guiding force in their lives. He wore many hats, juggling the responsibilities of a parent, spouse, and friend with ease. Marty's positive outlook on life and his belief that it's the journey that matters, not the destination, served as an inspiration to all who knew him.
