Kathryn Mae Hall
Born October 8, 1929 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Elihu and Gertie Dillard, passed from death to eternal life November 5, 2024 with all her children, and some grandchildren gathered around her bed singing her into eternity.
She is survived by five children: Troy Hall Jr. of Kooskia, Idaho, Pennie Rosco of Caldwell, Idaho, Robin Tuttle of Stites, Idaho, Tamara Jones of Middleton, Idaho, and Sharla Baldwin of Notus, Idaho, twelve grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, and one sister, Loretta Buie of Oakdale, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Hall Sr., three brothers: William Dillard, Herbert Dillard, JD Dillard; two sisters: Betty Price and Carolyn Henson; and a great granddaughter, Kyanne Guest.
Kathryn graduated from Pentecostal Bible College in Gilroy, California in 1947 and soon married Troy Hall Sr. September 20, 1947. They traveled as evangelists, singing and preaching from 1951 until 1956 when Troy accepted his first church in Willets, California. During their years of ministry, they pioneered a church in Eugene, Oregon, and Spokane, Washington; and pastored in Medford, Oregon, Laton California, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Emmet, Idaho, and Stites, Idaho.
Kathryn's love story began in Laton Elementary School in California when she met Troy. They married at 17 years of age. She often verbalized that her one regret is that she didn't marry him younger. They had 62 years together.
As her first grandchild, Trena Schlieper, began to babble, she called her Nano, and she became Nano to the whole world. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her dozens, and dozens of inside plants. She liked solving crossword puzzles and crocheting. She was a woman who always wanted to keep her hands and her mind occupied and busy. But, what she loved most was her family, the Word of God, and her time in prayer. She was faithful to read her Bible every single day and then spend an hour, or two praying. She read her Bible completely through three to five times every year. She believed that the Word was fresh and new every time you read. When she stood up to testify in church, we knew we would get an incredible revelation as a "Nano sermon." Anyone who came to visit her understood that they would hear a "Nano sermon" while they visited. She had a vast supply of love and wisdom that simply never ran out. She embraced, loved, and prayed for a host of individuals, no matter their standing, color, or beliefs-she believed in a Jesus that loves us. If she knew you, she prayed for you.
