Karen M. Parsons
11/6/1944-1/19/2022
Cherished Karen Marie Parsons' sunset came on January 19th, 2022, of kidney failure. Her sunrise was November 6th, 1944 to parents William Joseph Preheim and Mary Evelyn [Larkey] Preheim.
Known for her boisterous laugh, love of jewelry, and kind heart, Karen will certainly be missed. However, she would want no sadness, but only rejoicing and reliving good memories. Karen's milestones include graduating from Grass Valley High School in California; and later, marrying her love, Charles Parsons, in Reno, Nevada in 1974. She surrounded herself in the great outdoors, managing motels; one in Yerinton, Nevada, and one in Roseburg, Oregon.
Karen and Charlie settled down in the area around 7 years ago, and loved it here thoroughly. Idaho held a special charm, because Karen loved gold mining and elk hunting with her family.
Karen is survived by her husband Charles Parsons; her son Todd Carnes and daughter-in-law Cynara Carnes; her son Wayne Carnes and daughter-in-law Sarah Carnes; and step-son Dan Parsons and daughter-in-law Nita Parsons. She is survived by her granddaughter McKenzie Carnes, granddaughter Whitney Carnes, granddaughter Samantha Carnes, grandson Dustin Carnes, granddaughter Edith Carnes, granddaughters Callie and Riley Parsons, and great-granddaughter Rachel Alfaro.
No services are to occur; in lieu of condolences, please call up a loved one and remind them how much you care and share a good laugh.
