Ivan K. Davis, 60, a Nez Perce Tribal Member, passed into the spirit world\nWednesday, Dec. 8, 2021 at him home on Beaver Slide Road, Kamiah, Idaho. Ivan\nwas diagnosed with Cancer early this year.\nIvan was born on February 1, 1961 to Ivan K. Davis Sr. and Beverly McAtty.\nIvan attended schools at Kamiah and graduated from KHS in 1979.\nIvan worked for many organizations during his lifetime in Kamiah. He worked at\nthe Potlatch Mill. He drove the bus for the Nez Perce Headstart Program. Ivan\nalso was the Janitor and later the Administrative Assistant when Elder Bernice\nMoffett was the Director for the Wa a yas Community Center. Ivan’s latest\nemployment was at the It’se ye ye Casino from December 14, 1995 to July 8,\n2009.\nIvan was a faithful fan of the 49er’s, Giants and the San Jose Sharks. He also\nenjoyed playing Chess and golfing.\nOver the years, Ivan enjoyed listening to Rock and Roll with his older brothers\nwho were all guitar players. He also enjoyed listening to his favorite band the\nRolling Stones and playing his own guitar and writing music.\nSurviving Ivan is his long time friend, Rebecca Anderson of Kamiah and her niece\nKaedance, whom Ivan took care of and treated her like his own. Ivan never\nmarried and did not have any children of his own. Also surviving Ivan are two\nAunts, Marjorie Hyde and Eunice Henry and many nieces along with many\ncousins.\nIvan lost two of his brothers, just days apart, at the end of 2020, Jerard and Lyle\nDavis.\nIvan is preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Beverly, siblings, Jerard T. Davis,\nAlbert Davis, Lyle Davis, Kyle Davis, and sister Jerilyn Davis Jackson.\nGrandparents, Albert and Etta Moffett Davis and Abe and Stella Jackson McAtty.\nA viewing will take place for family and friends on Monday, December 13, 2021 at\nTrenary’s Funeral Home in Kooskia at 11:00. No funeral is planned. Cremation\nwill take place, at Ivan’s wishes.
