Grayce Brannan was born, in Nacogdoches, Texas on May 9, 1922. She died on January 18, 2019 at Clearwater Health and Rehab in Orofino following a brief stay at Clearwater Valley Hospital.
She married Leslie Brannan on August 9, 1942, in Santa Monica, California. Grace had one daughter, Linda.
Grayce and her husband bought a ranch on Battle Ridge, outside of Stites, in 1946. They moved back to Santa Monica, California in 1963. After retirement, they bought a peach orchard in Littlerock, California. In 1977, Grayce sold the orchard in Littlerock and returned to the ranch on Battle Ridge in 1991. The last few years, she spent her time between Orofino and the ranch on Battle Ridge.
Grayce loved to get in her car and travel. She loved spending time with her family in Texas and California especially her granddaughter, Jennifer. She was a homemaker most of her life, but she did work in the shipyards in Houston and a riverter during World War II. She worked several years in the garment industry as a seamstress and cutter for custom wedding and evening dresses. Her hobbies were sewing and fishing.
Grayce is survived by her daughter Linda Brannan (Russ Rojan) of Battle Ridge, her granddaughter Jennifer Hill Kurfess of Rosamond, California, and two great-grandchildren, Izaak and Lauren as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Brannan, parents Morris and Cora Parrott, brothers Layton and Raymond Parrott, sisters Marie Palasota, Rena Doane, Lillian Mangham, Lucille Tolle Cora Lee Cook and her grandson Glenn William Rojan.
