Erin M. Price-Smith, 43 of Kooskia, Idaho passed away on January 28, 2025, in Lewiston, Idaho. Erin was born on May 22, 1981, in Helena, Montana to Jim and Linda Price.

A celebration to honor Erin's life will be held on February 7, 2025 at 2:00pm in the gymnasium at Clearwater Valley High School in Kooskia, Idaho. A private burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery in Kooskia, Idaho. Those wishing to honor Erin are asked to make a donation to Metavivor, an organization that solely supports research for stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Following high school graduation, Erin graduated from the University of Montana in 2004 with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. She then attended Liberty University where she graduated with a Masters of Education in School Counseling in 2011. Erin married the love of her life, Eric Smith, on December 27, 2003, they recently celebrated 21 years of marriage. Erin was the school counselor at the Clearwater Valley Elementary, Middle, and High Schools prior to her 2-year battle against cancer.

Erin was known for the ray of sunshine that she was. She had a glitter in her eyes that would light up any room and made the world a beautiful place with her ability to be positive, strong, witty, creative, loving, caring, and being a straight shooter. She was also known to be a little clumsy at times. Erin was an extraordinary mother, baker and cook. She had a passion for encouraging everyone and was an advocate for the children she worked with and knew in our community. She was also active in military Family Readiness Groups where she supported, entertained, and organized the spouses of the soldiers of Eric's units during his service in the Army.

Erin loved traveling the world with her family. On her and Eric's 20th wedding anniversary they took a trip to Jamaica. This past summer the family took a 2-week RV road trip around Alaska, a place that always held a special place in her heart. They also enjoyed weekend trips up the North Fork of the Clearwater River and the Selway River. Erin also enjoyed gardening, huckleberry hunting, boating, camping, and crafting. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Erin will be remembered for her sense of adventure, positive attitude, resilient nature, her grit, determination, and ability to never give up.

Left to cherish Erin's Memory is her husband, Eric; daughters, Elisa and Eralyn Smith; parents, Jim and Linda Price; brother and sister-in-law, Jake and Sabrina Price; mother-in-law, Sue Smith; Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law Matt and Michelle Fickle, and an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a niece and nephews.

Erin is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Mark Smith; grandparents, William and Beula Eickhoff, and Edgar and Margaret Price and Aunt Pamela Eickhoff Martins.
