Dona Darlene Jones, 80 of Kamiah passed away Sunday May 13, 2018 at her Kamiah home.\nDona was born September 13, 1937 in Oakland, California to William and Lois McAllister Youngblood.\nShe graduated from High School in Atascadero, California.\nOn March 13, 1980 she married Robert Jones, a logger she met while living in Big Bar, California. With\nDona's and Robert's love of the outdoors, they were the perfect match. They traveled together all over\nthe western United States hunting and fishing. The last two years, Dona and Robert traveled to the\nMissouri Breaks and would listen and watch the Bulls Bugle and defend their herds.\nDona loved the fall colors. When she wasn't canning or gardening she would sew, quilt, or paint beautiful works of art.\nDona worked at Community Action for a few years and then at the Kamiah Clinic until June 2015.\nShe was a devout member of Freedom Bible Church and taught Sunday School.\nDona was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Colleen and Kathy and two brothers Gary and Brian.\nShe is survived by her husband Robert, a daughter Dawn Jean (Ron) Ruszcyk, a son Patrick Thurlby, two sisters Debra Eckhardt and Valerie Shankard, sister-in-law Renee Youngblood, four step-children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.\nAt her request no services will be planned.
