Carla McCall

Carla Kristina Millage McCall 78, of Hillsboro, Oregon, passed away on December 11, 2024. Carla was born on April 2nd, 1946 in Kamiah ID, to Virgil Millage and Ilene Millage Taylor.

In 1960 she married Glen McCall in Kamiah. They moved to Missoula, MT in 1971. After raising her 4 children she attended Missoula Vo-Tech and got her degree in Practical Nursing. She was hired by St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula before she graduated and started working there the day after graduation. She continued to work there for 9 years

Moving to St. Helens, OR, in 1994 she continued to work as an LPN at Meadow Park Care Center and then at Avamere Assisted living in St. Helens. In her spare time, she volunteered for and served for 5 years on The Citizens Review Board, which met monthly and reviewed cases of children in custody.

After separating from Glen, she moved to Beaverton, OR, and worked as a Home Health Nurse and then Home Care Manager. Retiring after 27 years of caring for patients.

A member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aloha, OR, for many years, she combined her love of singing and fellowship by joining Joyful Singers, a Senior Group, that visited and sang at Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Homes.

She is survived by 1 son, Don McCall of St. Helens, OR;3 daughters, Shelley Andrews of Aloha OR, Emma Nelson of Hermiston, OR, and Glenna S. Farro of Missoula, MT; 10 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Sister, Donna Main of Kamiah, ID, and 3 brothers, Larry of Darby, MT, Greg of Scottsdale, AZ, Mike of Clarkston, WA.

Carla was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, and her Brother Jim Taylor.

Her 3 great loves in life were God, her family, and caring for others.

A Celebration of life will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Kamiah, Idaho on Friday, December 20th, 2024 at 2 pm with Reverend Luann Howard officiating.
