Robert E. Johnson Jr.
Robert E. Johnson Jr. (B.J.), was 39 when he passed away in his home July 18, 2018. He was born July 8, 1979 to Luella & Robert E. Johnson. He left behind his three children; Robert E. Johnson III, Kimberly Dallas Johnson and Hunter D. Johnson; a wife Rebecca; and two stepsons, Drew and Jacob Blimka; his three sisters, Brandy Young, Tiffany Calico and Cynthia Calico; his beloved nephews, nieces and his extended family.
Robert (BJ) was a loved father, son, brother, Uncle, Husband and friend.
BJ was an avid outdoorsman who had a passion for hunting and fishing in the mountains. Robert (BJ) always had something to say that put a smiles on our faces He had such a inspiring personality.
We will Celebrate his life at 11:00 a.m on Wednesday July 25, 2018 at Trenary Funeral Home Chapel in Kooskia, Idaho. It will be a time of sharing stories and celebrating his life
Mae Marie McPherson, 95, died July 3, 2018
Mae Marie Schwartz (5th of 10 Children) was born Sept. 27, 1922 in Kooskia, Idaho to Henry John & Annette Christine (Evenson) Schwartz. She attended school at Big Cedar and Kooskia.
On Feb 7, 1942 she married Aaron Reed in Orofino, Idaho. They had three sons, Aaron Jr., Steven F. and Edwin D.
Mae was active in St. Catherine’s altar Society and spent many hours working in her flower garden, painting, fishing and traveling.
She attended cosmetology school in Lewiston, ID graduating in 1967. Shortly after she opened Mae’s Beauty Salon in Kooskia, ID. Later she moved her shop to Kamiah, ID Aaron passed away Nov. 23, 1971 and Mae continued to operate her beauty shop.
In 1975 she married Mel McPherson. They lived in Ketchican, Alaska for two years and then returned to Kamiah. After they retired, Mae & Mel spent the winters in Yuma, AZ until Mel’s death in 1993. Mae continued to spend winters in Yuma where she enjoyed playing games and cards with all her friends at Sun Vista. While there she met Bill Larson and they became good friends spending summers in Kamiah and winters in Yuma until his death.
In Nov of 2011, Mae moved to Lewiston, ID First at Royal Plaza and then to Unique Senior Care where she resided until her death July 3, 2018.
Mae is survived by her son Aaron (Cheryl) Reed, 9 grandchildren, Daughter-in- Law Wilma Reed, 22 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by sons Steven & Edwin; husbands, Aaron and Mel; good friend Bill and all of her siblings.
We would like to thank Jeannie Laws and Francie Mueller for taking her shopping and to Dr. Appointments; to Larry Matthews for everything he helped with; to Amy Knapp and her staff of Unique Senior Care for their friendly and outstanding care; and St. Joseph Hospital Hospice for all their help and care.
In her honor donations may be made to St. Joseph Hospice.
Memorial Mass will be at 1 p.m., Saturday July 14, 2018 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Kamiah, Idaho. Burial will follow at Kamiah City Cemetery. Dinner will be provided by the Alter Society at St. Catherine’s Basement. Arrangements are by Trenary Funeral Home of Kooskia, Idaho.
